Forklift Operation Training
Rendora StudioWelcome to Apex Industrial Safety Training. In this session, you’ll learn the basic steps of forklift operation, including inspection, controls, safe driving, and load handling.
Before operating the forklift, begin with a full inspection. Check the tires for wear or damage, inspect the forks for cracks, and test the brakes and steering. Make sure the horn, warning lights, and hydraulic controls are functioning properly. Finally, confirm the forklift’s load capacity before starting work.
Use three-point contact to enter the forklift safely, then fasten your seatbelt. Start the engine and identify the main controls. The steering wheel controls direction, the accelerator moves the forklift forward, and the brake pedal is used for stopping safely. The lift lever raises and lowers the forks, while the tilt control adjusts the angle of the load for stability. Always operate smoothly, drive at controlled speed, and keep clear visibility while moving.

To handle a load safely, position the forks evenly under the pallet and lift slowly until the load is stable. Keep the forks low while traveling to maintain balance.
Follow workplace traffic routes, sound the horn at blind corners, and stay alert around pedestrians.
When parking, lower the forks completely, apply the parking brake, and switch off the forklift safely.
Safe forklift operation depends on proper inspection, correct use of controls, and responsible handling practices. Thank you for watching Apex Industrial Safety Training.
