Guarding the coast, one wave at a time! As a beach lifeguard, your role is crucial in ensuring the safety of beachgoers.

You'll scan the water and shore for potential hazards like rip currents, sharp rocks, and swimmer distress.

When responding to emergencies, use rescue tubes or boards to reach distressed swimmers. Perform a safe entry and exit, and bring the swimmer to shore.

For first aid, assess the situation, call for backup if needed, and provide care for injuries like wounds, sprains, or broken bones.

If someone needs CPR, start chest compressions (30:2 ratio) and rescue breaths. Continue until medical help arrives.
